21 shots fired to salute your VIP’s. No fire, just booms. Choreographed with the air show announcer.
This is our “basic” building block for our pyro effects. Many of our other effects use this effect as the base of the overall shot.
“Double Fuel Double Bomb” with LARGE fire and explosion. This is our larger version of the “Regular Bomb” which uses a larger mix of explosive materials to create a bigger fireball and a much louder and deeper sounding boom.
This is a series of rapidly exploding bombs progressing across the ground. Most of the bombs are not finding their “mark”, but several do,
with the resulting simulation of “hits.”
This is a series of bombs “Regular” or “Double” moving rhythmically across the ground. They can be strung together to any required length, spaced at different intervals and/or different speeds of progression.
“Regular Strafe” and ending “hit” with fire and explosion. This is what could be called a “Hollywood Strafe”. It incorporates dust at each bullet hit with an ending explosion and fire to simulate “hitting the target.”
“Hot Strafe” and ending “hit” with LARGE fire and explosion. Instead of using dust at each bullet hit (as in the “Regular Strafe”) we have added gasoline, which makes a very surprising and stimulating effect.
“Enhanced Hot Strafe” an ending hit with explosion and LARGE fire. This effect was designed specifically for the U.S. Air Force A-10 and F-35 pyro
demonstrations and meets U.S. Air Force Air Combat Command specifications for use with the A-10 and the F-35. This effect has a different
combination of explosives associated with each bullet hit to give it a much more “authoritative” sound than our other versions of the strafing run.
Sometimes called a “Mini Wall”, this effect is usually 300 feet in length.
This effect shows best at night. It makes a dazzling eruption of flame, sparks and noise almost 100 feet high. We use some of these effects, in conjunction with our other effects
spaced up and down the crowd line, to literally light the night skies. It also makes a great daytime shot for the Willy Pete spotter shot for the war bird acts.
The “Wall of Fire” can be made to any length, 1000 feet being the most common. The flash of heat travels at light speed and takes the audience by surprise. They were expecting to see and hear
something, but the first thing they feel is the flash of heat, they are totally surprised. The flash of heat travels an amazing distance and can readily be felt at the far corners of the airshow grounds.
Amazing as the heat flash is, the sound is also stunning.
One big bomb that is designed to create a huge smoke ring. A great effect to see when you have a jet vehicle racing an airplane. As they finish, the fireball is stunning and then watch as the smoke rolls skyward. It will form a huge rolling smoke ring. The ring will climb up to 2 to 3 thousand feet. Watch as the pilots fly through the ring and play with it as it climbs…….it’s breath taking.
Through the use of mining explosives, gasoline, and fireworks, the team produces stunning displays choreographed perfectly with the flight teams and ground performers with earth shaking high energy results yet in a safe and precisely controlled professional show.
